Leaky diaper sabotages Day 28 of PapiBlogger Road Trip

On the 28th day of the PapiBlogger Family Road Trip we drove from Minnesota to the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois but the evening of sight-seeing in Chicago was largely ruined thanks to a leaky diaper.

We normally buy Pampers brand for baby Briani but were forced to change brands temporarily in South Dakota because convenience store where we had to replenish our diaper supply didn’t have Pampers.  Despite changing her regularly, the diaper brand we used did not retain her pee properly.  Her car seat was soaked in such a way that we had to remove the car seat and stay in the hotel to clean and then dry the car seat.

KIDS BIG FANS OF $1 A+ BOOKS

The main thing that kept the kids entertained today at the hotel were the A+ workbooks that my wife bought for Elena and Jonathan.  Elena has been busy with a book called “50 Great States” and Jonathan has been hooked to his “Hail to the Chief”, a U.S. presidents’ workbook.  The workbooks come with flash cards.  We will be buying the kids more books in anticipation of our visit to Washington, DC later this month.  The books each cost $1 at Target.

FOR NEXT THREE WEEKS ROAD TRIP UPDATES COMING TO YOU EVEN MORE FREQUENTLY

Our Facebook activity will go into hyper drive during the next nearly three weeks of the road trip.

From this point forward until our final day of the road trip August 4 go to our Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/PapiBlogger, to get even more current updates and photos from our trip.  We’re going to be Facebooking photos with more regularity.  You can also find most of the key PapiBlogger road trip photos on Facebook or on our Flickr account.  To find us on Flickr simply type in PapiBlogger.

SPRINT NEXTEL ROAD TRIP TIP OF THE DAY

Never change your tot’s reliable diaper brand in the middle of a road trip.  You don’t know what you can get and it can ruin your vacation day, especially if it requires a car trip to reach your destination and the car seat has to be cleaned.
