MIAMI, FL (May 5, 2011) – Mother’s Day is just around the corner so three leading Latino parenting bloggers PapiBlogger, Mamá Contemporánea and Momma Findings, have joined forces to help you find the best gifts this season with the launch of their 2011 Mother’s Day Gift Guide.
The guide features gifts for mom in a variety of categories and price ranges and even includes Apps to help moms make their lives easier.
The 2011 Mother’s Day Gift guide, the first of what is to become an annual tradition, was compiled over several months with the input of other Latino mamis and papis and is available for free. The English version can be downloaded at: http://www.slideshare.net/papiblogger/2011-mothers-day-gift-guide. The Spanish-language version can be downloaded at: http://www.slideshare.net/papiblogger/2011-mothersdaygiftguidespanish.

“We have worked very hard to provide our readers with a terrific selection of gifts and to make the Mother’s Day shopping experience easier because it can be so stressful to find the right gifts,” said PapiBlogger publisher Manny Ruiz who founded the annual guide and co-produced it with mom bloggers Rory Lassanske of Mama Contemporanea and Sara Patterson of Momma Findings and the Latina Mom Bloggers network.

PapiBlogger Holiday Video Underscores Our Commitment to Helping the Salvation Army and Other Worthy Charities
Posted by PapiBlogger on Wednesday December 29th, 2010 at 02:05 AMIt was a bit late in being uploaded but here’s a very short video we compiled to encourage you, our readers and friends, to remember the hard and often thankless work of the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army’s work has nearly doubled during this recession and yet donations are down by more than 20%.
As a very small token of our support, my family and I recently took a bounty of toys to our local Salvation Army warehouse. Many of these top quality toys were donated courtesy of Wal-mart, Fisher-Price, Baby Abuelita, Kolcraft and other companies that were featured as part of our very successful PapiBlogger Holiday Gift Guide. We didn’t put this video together to show off or let others know that we think we’re good but rather to remind all of us that it is more blessed to give than receive and especially when it comes to the Salvation Army and other worthy charities like the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Like many other Generation X’ers, I eagerly awaited the annual airing of the now classic TV movie I looked “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer”, in large part because I really believed the story. I never bothered to question why Santa, even when he looked a little different at the Sears my grandparents took me to. (more…)
